MONEY CAN’T BUY HAPPINESS AND POWER AS WELL

This morning, October 11, was the start for the filing of Certificate of Candidacy for those aspiring for public office. It is natural for our eyes and brain to see and interpret only those candidates that we’re interested in and then focused on them alone. But we have to bear in mind that many Filipinos are hurting right now and we’re in the same boat as they are and that boat, we’re going to sink and swim together if we fail again in the coming election.

Many Filipinos remember growing up in a time when people assumed that if a candidate proclaims something in discourse it was true. That era is gone, and faith in the candidates belongs to the nostalgia for a vanished forgotten past.

Distrust towards the candidates especially in the Senatorial position is, of course, deeply rooted in much broader now and that we have to vote for those in favor of FEDERALISM to ensure social justice and equality among us. Quantitatively as well, again and again, do not sell your vote because if you do, it can never make a heaven out of hell but always find its echo into hell out of heaven. Do not vote for a candidate who combined "the arrogance of power, with the arrogance of mind.

Any hope of change can be reached only if the elected and appointed public officials can make the political power rest on truth. Paradoxically, the "credibility gap" may contain the seeds of its own destruction.
