MY SIMPLE BUT SINCERE BIRTHDAY GREETINGS TO MY BELOVED PRESIDENT RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE TOMORROW MARCH 28, 2022

 

PRRD, the champion living the dream not yet ready to wake up and continued lighting up the script which is the prime seismic of success. Rising above the onslaught of his critics, he has never given up on his quest to serve and protect the Filipinos. Let it be inscribed on the tablets of history so the truth must prevail that PRRD is the greatest president the Philippines has ever seen. Mr. President, you have given everyone, friends and foe, a piece of your heart; and for that we thank you. You are a gift from Heaven to play as a force that raised our spirits higher than anyone has ever could. No matter what your narratives lie ahead, know that this Nation will always be proud to wear your name across our backs; just as you carry us on yours.  

 

THE COMELEC IS ALWAYS SHITTING ON US

 

THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Thursday admitted that Smartmatic operations was breached when one of its employees allowed a group to copy its data. But the software provider Smartmatic asserted that there was no data breach of their servers. Comelec Commissioner George Garcia also said, “The Comelec’s system was not hacked.” This is a rush judgement made by Com. Garcia.

Nevertheless, despite the serious doubt AGAIN confronting the sanctity of the Smartmatic operation system, the ironic thing is that no less than Commissioner George Garcia gambled to echo the statement of the Smartmatic’s aggressive stand that the voting system of the 2022 election was not hacked.” This is errant and insipid, and hideously loaded conclusion, to say the least of Com. Garcia. This is a negative pregnant, gratuitous and, therefore, obiter, so that it has no value as an imperative authority.

The peoples’ stern warning intended to be taken seriously and committed to both heart and memory, the COMELEC should be more solicitous in its task to steer clear of blunders, especially to keep the election be rightfully and lawfully done. But the COMELEC again egregiously demonstrates its apparent incorrigibility showing res ipsa loquitur, a sinister pattern of bad faith to favor the chosen candidates.

SEN. FRANKLIN DRILON’S ACCUSATION AGAINST COM. AIMEE NERI CALLS FOR ABSOLUTE REJECTION

Look what’s happening now, Sen. Drilon imputed to newly appointed Comelec Commissioner Aimee Torrefranca Neri she was involved in a 10 million bribery when she was DOJ Asst. Secretary. The allegation ruffled the nerves of the entire world. The said accusation indeed has more semblance than substance. For me, Sen. Franklin Drilon’s grasp exceeds his reach. You know, his time of almost 3 decades as a public official holding different top positions in the government under different presidents hasn’t taught him. We, lawyers very well knew that allegation is not proof and is not synonymous with guilt.  Such a tale from Sen. Drilon is contrary to human experience and our way of life, and thus, calls for absolute rejection. You know, it’s not easy to throw mud when you’re full of holes.

 Nevertheless, the said accusation has already tarnished the reputation of Comelec Com. Aimee Neri and her family. In one Supreme Decision, it held:

“Reputation in the legal profession is a plant of tender growth, and its bloom, once lost, is not easily restored. Material loss can be repaired or adequately compensated. But the debasement of the human being - broken in morale and brutalized in spirit — can never be fully evaluated in monetary terms. The wounds fester and the scars remain to humiliate him to his dying day, even as he cries in anguish for retribution, denial of which is like rubbing salt on bruised tissues.”

May I say to Sen. Drilon, you’re making a nonsensical point now and i think you should crawl back into your hole.

 

 

 

THE SEEDS OF WAR-- THE CONVENTIONAL WISDOM

 

Every time there is war, we need to think about what happened in the past? We have so many wars in the past and every time people suffer so much that they swear to high heavens they don’t want war anymore. Watching the war in Ukraine, I feel sad and started to contemplate to myself why war do happen? Going more deeper, most of the war often started from individuals out of greed; like greed for power; greed for money; and greed for possession or territory. They are the seeds of war. Then, I comeback and ask myself how many seeds of war are inside of me; do I need to be rich; do I have more than I need; do I want more power? If I have these seeds, I need to decrease it. If I think I want to have more than I need in my life, I will try to give away more. This is the way not to fall into the pit of war and to do that, I need to recoil my aspiration in life. This is the conventional wisdom.

IT’S ALL IN GOD’S HANDS

 

The ripples of this war between Russia and Ukraine are spilling out across the world and the irony is that most of the countries had nothing to do with it.  In this crossfire, countries are bracing for a record high fuel price as the global oil market has found itself in hostage situation. This war is now reaching everyone’s doorsteps and it is leading to humanitarian catastrophe. Now, all that is a matter of two feet, it’s all in God’s hands and we must often pray that when push comes to shove, we will be guided along the path that only fate could choose, a path to safety.

HOW WRONG WE ALL WERE?

 

BBM entered the Presidential Race with a chip on his shoulder as he was being shadowed by the reputation of his dad, former Pres. Ferdinand E. Marcos. BBM could have easily folded and failed, instead, the young Marcos grabbed the proverbial bull by the horns and rode him all the way to lead in a dominant fashion in all kinds of surveys at a breakneck speed, sprinkling in a highlight here and there that even the opponents’ growl and teeth were not enough to scare the true believers. At this point, all we can do is wish BBM the best for what’s to follow and he cannot help but salivating on his soon-to-be success as the next president of the Philippines after the great PRRD.

Nevertheless, presidential contest is often called the theatre of surprises and all because of its unpredictable character. You may think that you know what will happen in the upcoming election, but what happens is exactly the opposite. How many times in the past have we seen the obvious favorite had been defeated that made the whole world jump from their seats in surprise. Even BBM himself was a victim of complacency when he lost to Robredo in the vice-presidential race when in fact he was seen the sure winner. So, do not be complacent because in this digital revolution magical things happen, if you know what I mean. It's better to look ahead and prepare than to look back and regret.

 

UNDERSTANDING LIFE AND WHAT IS IMPORTANT IN LIFE

 

Having this digital revolution to keep up with the latest fashion, they are not helpful for us to make our life better. Actually, this idea of progress makes us break our necks with work to catch up with our spending. The belief that having those stuffs can make our life better and comfortable, is not actually true. The reality is that they consume our life so much and we have less time for our family. So, the more you have these luxurious stuffs to keep up with the latest fashion and gain a higher social status, the more you struggle to work harder to support the expenses and maintenance on them.

Now, these capitalists that develop so many kinds of technology are becoming richer and powerful while us the consumer have become a good slave of the system. Why do we need these stuffs that when we have them, we have to work harder than before? As society, we have to build on this conversation inspired by our question about why are we so obsessed with mobile devices, all this technology, big houses, fancy cars, etcetera? WHY COULDN’T WE SAY MAYBE WE HAD ENOUGH AND WE NEED TO SHARE?     

THE NEW ERA OF MODERN SLAVERY SYSTEM

 

We are all busy with work but more and more people become poor and suffer more because they don’t have enough to eat. Who do we work for, our children? But what do we have left for our children when people have been destroying our environment which is the only source for our survival? We see destruction of the ecosystem here and there poisoning the soil; pollute the water; and they extract underground all the minerals and everything precious and useful for greed of money. Is this what you mean that you work for yourself and your family? What do you actually need, money? Do you eat money, or do you eat food and drink water to survive? Do you want to live in the big pile of money, or you want to live under the shade of the trees with the cold breeze?

I can’t see who do you work for but everybody is just very busy. This made me think about the new era creating modern slavery system designed by the capitalist making us good consumers that changes everybody into a slave just to buy mobile devices, all kinds of technology, cars, big houses, that even in debt throughout their lives all for the sake of keeping up with the trend as status symbol. Thus, making the business sector/capitalists richer and powerful. These things are just for pleasure which enjoyment are shallow, but the ramification is sorrow that is deep.
