HOME QUARANTINE IS A DELAYING TACTIC WHILE WAITING FOR THE SPECTER OF DANGER TO CHANGE

With the enhance community quarantine being enforced, we can’t stop this virus but we can defeat it by slowing down the contamination of the Covid-19 to others. We could be incredulous and tired because there is a little light at the end of the tunnel.

However, the idea to isolate ourselves at home is that we are really in a holding pattern until we can discover a vaccine or treatment. To have that mindset that you’re doing something that you have been told, it’s a good feeling and can lift up our energy levels.

It is like you can throw buckets of water on what is a very very big fire and it might not extinguish the fire. But still, we may never know how much worse it would have been had the efforts not been made in the first place.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO PDU30

As water is to a flower -- So is praise to the heart of another.

You know, when PRRD walks through the crowd, there’s like the red sea opening up, like a messiah, it was too much respect. When he rules the country, he resembles a kind of totem that rises formidably above the raging water but neither storm winds nor waves can bother it.

PRRD wins the hearts of the Filipinos because he does his thing not to be exalted but the people exalted him for everything he does; he is not tall but he stands up tall and takes control; he is not driven by circumstances but by the dream of the Filipinos they have dreamt for long; he does not abide by the common norms of the society but he makes his own rules to save lives and instill order for the country; he does not depend on destiny but the result of his action is his destiny; and when his enemies give him their worse to oust him, he gives them his best to serve the Filipinos.

I have no doubt PRRD will emerge as the most successful and the best leader in Philippine history. I think he truly deserves the title “Great”. How will one achieve immortality than by riding into the history books? In that regard, PDu30 is the one, the man.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY PRESIDENT, YOUR PRESIDENT, AND OUR PRESIDENT, RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE, SIR!

THE MAN IN THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME

Every dawn sends an eerie smoke that the brief dance between birth and death will not be over until the Covid-19 pandemic that is ravaging the world leaves the scene sooner than later. The President through the grant of emergency powers just recently by Congress is now ready to use the heavy hand of the government in a lot of ways to defend everyone, friend or foe from the disease.

But what kind of struck me are these Yellows: Robredo, Diokno, Sen. Pangilinan, Hontiveros, and their likes who keep on hurtling nasty barbs as they always do at PRRD. They are the nitpicker against Duterte even when those criticisms seem inconsequential. The least that they can do to help the country is to Zip their lips and shut down their mouth.

These villains seem to forget that the President is essentially keeping the lights on to ensure everyone, including themselves, their families and relatives even they are against him, will be protected on their personal situation from the Covid pandemic. So, I think, on that level, it was disappointing, to say the least, and we are sick and tired and angry at the indifference of these self-obsessed critics.

Covid pandemic seems to never stop killing people thus, fighting it is a colossal task. What we are facing is likened to an ocean sea with waves so high and it is exceedingly difficult to paddle through the plunging surf unless everyone must dig in with their paddle. The whole human race is racing against time to find a cure for it.

Accordingly, we must work in collaboration with one another and not in opposition against each other. Let’s be side by side with PRRD and march in rhythmic cadence with him into the direction that would enrich the world, the one that brings fulfillment and all the happiness we always had is suddenly revived.

Covid-19 pandemic is a challenge for which the stakes could not be higher. The least that everyone can expect is all hell of obstacles and oppositions there are to pull us down. Instead, We must roar as the final act of dominance. With determination, we are stronger than all the might of the world. From night’s darkest depth of our misery, we got a silver lining in Duterte-led government. We must protect him whatever it takes.

SP TITO SOTTO IS MAKING A MAJOR MISTAKE THAT WILL HAUNT HIM FOREVER

In containing the Covid-19, you cannot just do it by clicking your heels together. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.

Malacanang Palace requested for emergency powers for PRRD to take over private hospitals and businesses”. But SP Tito Sotto says it is questionable. I say, if the requested emergency powers be denied by Congress, the country will get jumped by things that you might be sorry and regret it. Awareness and readiness are your best tools against any danger.

The statement and downgrading of the emergency powers by SP Sotto is problematic in a lot of aspects. COULD THE CONGRESS BE MAKING A MAJOR MISTAKE THEY’LL COME BACK TO BITE THEM?

In the Covid-19 pandemic, no seasonal subtleties occur here. The merrymaking season is fleeting as it abruptly ends and the unforgiving misery turns fertile planes to dust. Yes, a treacherous pedestal such as Covid-19 dominated the entire country and what lies down the road is a gantlet of death.

Comparing the daily data between those that had recovered as against those who had been found positive from the Covid-19, we have some very low wins and tough losses. In means, everything else pales in comparison against the horrifying triumph of the Covid-19 that is sweeping the planet.

Therefore, We have to be crafty to understand the lessons WE got from other countries who suffered from the Covid-19 ahead of us and WE will prevail. Ignoring them and WE fight in darkness.

THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC IS THE GRIM REAPER

Each of us is different and unique as to how we think, perceive and feel. But despite our differences, we are connected with each other and to one another. We might picture ourselves as--

A wave on the ocean arising from the water and form a line of countless other waves as they move in unison crisscrossing from a million different centers of energy and traveling in the longitudinal strip in rhyme and rhythm laden with emotional aura as they roll down to the shoreline in wonderful marvel then splashing and crashing one after another endlessly repeating the sound as if dancing to the tempo of unionization.

Today, in the light of the Covid-19 pandemic, which is just an unstoppable juggernaut that has torn the world asunder, our country, our flag, and our pride as Filipinos are all at stake. Our very survival depends on our ability to toe the line what the government demands us to stay at home in order to prevent the spread of the Covid-19.

Our country is in the condition of a human body in a state of suspended animation—the heart still beats—the principle of vitality is unextinguished—but the active functions of life are suspended. PRRD, who never is out of calling distance, constantly juggle the books to stay our country afloat, and keeps trying to breathe the breath of confidence into it that it will be at once resuscitated.

This call for a nationwide lockdown that lifts neighborly concern beyond one’s tribe, race, and class is, in reality, a call for an all-embracing and unconditional love by PRRD for all Filipinos. The Covid-19 pandemic is just constantly the Grim Reaper pulling down the country while PRRD is pulling up and saving it.

Together we must learn to live as brothers otherwise together we will be forced to perish as fools.

COVID-19 WREAKS HAVOC AND ANXIETY FOR INDIVIDUALS AND OUR ECONOMY

In this situation and circumstances, you have to be mentally prepared for anything worse. This is a war against the virus and that does not necessarily mean that you are going to die. If you give up the will to live, your spirit would dissipate, will disappear. You’ve got to maintain the will to live. Stick to the fight more so when we are hardest hit because it's when things seem worst that we mustn't quit.

You have to constantly be seeking out the light, even in the darkest of times.

NO GOOD OR BAD BUT THINKING MAKES IT SO

In the light of Covid-19 pandemic, it's an interesting point of view and understandable in some ways, to demonstrate either to ourselves or others that we are at our best and more than a shining example of excellence to exhibit stability under pressure.

At this moment of fear and anxiety, we can still show a “Perfect Poise” just so we can help others restore some more balance and equilibrium into each other’s lives, to calm us down and make life better.

Shakespeare in Hamlet wrote: “There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.” How we think and perceive things results in the experience to match our expectations. As Ronald Harris has often said, "The expected sensation tends to be realized."

In other words, if you believe something will happen, you will bring about the circumstances to make it happen. What you think is what you get.

So in consideration, it may seem like a good idea to think positively about our situations in the light of the Covid-19 pandemic. Let's switch thinking, change horses and think of solutions, of positive outcomes of happy times of joy, success, reward, and love.

A MERE WHISPER IN THE MINDS OF PANGILINAN AND AYALA

In last night's television public address of PRRD, there was a noticeable blip as he calls for Pangilinan and Ayala for help in the crisis on Covid-19. From all outward appearances, the appeal for help was a signal that PRRD was amenable to toss out the adversarial approach against them and create a cooperative one.

It was an eye-opener, an indicator for Ayala and Pangilinan that Duterte’s heart has been softened up and his inclination is clear he is amenable to settle the issue on the water concession contract peacefully rather than to indict both of them. Now, if Ayala and Pangilinan are choking of the possible showdown against Duterte, this is typically a great way to start the move for settlement and they must have the energy and enthusiasm to move real fast applying the adage: “strike while the iron is hot”.

I’m telling the billionaires Ayala and Pangilinan to take serious reflection what I’m saying here because a lot of these made much sense. Otherwise, your lawyers and advisers will generate a lot of heat against it. Then, both of you will end up draining your resources for something which you are destined to lose.

In this proud land, we were taught to fight, to grow strong, and learn how to win. You became strong with your billions that you never thought you could lose. But life’s battles are hard to conquer. You found yourselves a man whose dreams have all deserted. A proud land as nobody wants us when we lose.

ALL FILIPINOS ARE NOW FACING THE SPECTER OF COVID-19 OUTBREAK

Tensions had been running high and we don’t exactly know what’s going to happen next. In a way that’s kind of scary but that is the current state not only in Metro Manila but everything that’s happening around us.

I’m also telling you guys that one of the best things that we can currently do is not only remaining aware but also to be proactive. Because while what’s going on right now may have a minor impact on you it could potentially have a major impact on somebody else.

It’s been kind of so real to watch everything that’s going on right now unravel before us because the reality is this is a historic event, this is history. At least in my lifetime, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything close to what’s going on right now

Now, with pressure mounting, the full weight of the Covid-19 is brought to bear. Have you heard the most repeated cliché’ that
"it’s a tiny bit of dust that flies into the eye that sticks like a needle"? This tiny bit of a molecule called Coronavirus has now threatened the entire world bringing each country’s economy to a downward spiral.

All Filipinos are now facing the specter of the Covid-19 outbreak. The best thing I can offer is the best truth we all can muster up about each one’s support and cooperation to the government’s directive instead of hiding behind hatred and blame and prejudice.

THE PRESIDENT’S IMPRIMATUR AGAINST COVID-19

PRRD addressed the nation on COVID-19 in a televised message last night at 9 o’clock on March 12 placing Metro Manila on lockdown. This will maintain tight control over the movement of people into and out of Metro Manila and has strict laws to keep potential virus-spreaders in line.

It is clear that PRRD is leaving no stone unturned. His action exemplifies the fastidious approach taken to combat the outbreak in the entire nation.

I and every Filipino have to commend the Philippine President's "swift, decisive and comprehensive measures to contain the Covid-19 outbreak and safeguard the health of our people. I am confident that under PRRD’s able leadership, the nation will overcome Covid-19 with strength and fortitude.

We applaud PRRD’s firm and decisive response, and we are happy to see early indications that it is beginning to bring the outbreak under control. It is stressed on the importance of all Filipinos working together to battle such crises.

To say about being down, it’s a motivator. It lights a fire under us, it reminds us of what we need to do to get this done. It gives us a little street fighting enthusiasm.

Let’s be a ripper that laughs at fear, afraid of nothing. We do not shy away from the sword; we cannot stand still when the trumpet sounds. This is in keeping with the idea that you need to be exposed to things that you fear and hate because that’s where salvation lies, roughly speaking.

Now that the President has spoken, our duty is to obey and to toe the line. Take a flick at the concept that “The Strength of the Chain Is in the Weakest Link”. This is the most suitable proverb that can be used to assess the strength of the integrity of our country. This means a chain is a row of links connecting to the other. In other words, the strength and success of battling the Covid-19 depend on the Filipino people.

Accordingly, if some of us will not support, cooperate, and obey the imprimatur of PRRD, then, the strength and integrity of our country as a nation against the Covid-19 becomes futile and in vain.

THE COVID 19 MAKES EVERYBODY LOW AND SMALL

All of us want a better life. But the COVID 19 is here in the Philippines that we ought to be scared since the trend is now predictable and formulaic. Time is against us and we need to get our acts together and move very quickly.

The people are now in a weary resignation and the crisis is almost a nationwide numbness to disaster, and that’s something that stands to harm all of us.

We must bring the best in humanity and the need to continue to wrap our arms around one another side by side on the winning side not for glory but for our country and for all of us.

You know the truth about the COVID 19, you know the reality of how devastating it is. The virus, like rain, begins with a single drop, then, comes a rising tide that could cause a more rapid breakdown for a lot of our people and eventual denigration of our society.

We must be in the same boat and that boat, we’re going to sink and swim together. We need to combat the virus and find a cure for it. Man, we have to push it, we have to find the cure to save us all and our country.

DIVIDED BY SHEER IDEOLOGY, UNITED BY SHEER HUMANITY

ABS-CBN Gabby Lopez and Carlo Katigbak seemed to blur the line between Reality TV and reality. Fighting it out in court and see who will be the last man standing, the critical situation will just get worse. To have an early victory nip in the bud for the ABS-CBN is by taking the bull by the horns. Choose the most human and practical approach that will unbind the tangled braid with one swoop of the sword, and that is an amicable settlement with PRRD. Just remember, the boundary zone between land and water tells the difference between life and death.

It is not the battle in court that will save you. Often times a reverse has but made the room for more prosperous fortune.

Do not listen to the legal luminaries around you and tell you that you will be issued a provisional permit to operate. That will never happen. And to wait for Congress to renew your franchise means you will be waiting in vain. Can’t you see the reality if you leave your fate in the hands of those politicians? These politicians are just taking you even deeper to your grave while they will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Take the queue that Mayor Sarah Duterte Carpio said on TV: that his father has a heart of gold and can easily forgive and forget. The ABS-CBN has not been fair to him but PRRD is fair, I can guarantee you that.

You know in conscience and morality there is a lot wrong with how you have been treating PRRD. Accordingly, you cannot keep displaying your nerves of steel and walked away scot free. You cannot have your cake and eat it too.

Yes, it is hard and embarrassing to strike a settlement when you are at fault because you have to swallow your pride and ego. But just to buy peace, do it; anyway, nobody was ever heard to have died from swallowing his pride.

To say more, you have to accept the fact that it was you who created your own storms, so, do not be upset when it rains. Your relation with PRRD is not all sunshine but you can share one umbrella and survive the storm together.

This is the greatest battle of your life trying to save your company and this can only be won by using your brain and not by brute force. I know this because I’ve been settling cases for 30 years as a Judge of the agrarian court, the DARAB (DAR Adjudication Board). I can now consider myself a master because I have failed more times than the beginner has ever tried.

THE CASE LAW ON CONFLICT OF INTEREST AGAINST SEN. POE

It is the moment of the greatest emotional variance when Sen. Poe had the audacity to order a Senate Hearing vis-à-vis the renewal of abs-cbn franchise. The issue draws toxic criticism in an attempt to thwart the said hearing on the ground of conflict of interest on her part.

Nevertheless, the abs-cbn could have poured some honey in her ear because Sen. Poe derisively ignored all warnings as if telling the world she is one who runs to a wall for the abs-cbn; that she’s not gonna be a wallflower; and that I’m the first to have your back through it all.

Truly, a treasure trove of evidence showed that Sen. Poe’s mother Susan Roces, is working with the abs-cbn and it is such a gravamen of indecorum for her to order the subject hearing.

Certainly, Sen. Poe could be charged with conflict of interest. Her arrogance of mind has had an insidious effect, for, in time, policymakers begin to believe their own misplaced brilliance. The deception designed for the public, in the end, becomes self-deception. They had begun to believe their own arrogant mind’s "options," and "scenarios"; for them, reality had become the reflection in the fun-house mirror.

Kindly look at this; in the case of RP vs. J. C. Tuvera, et al. G.R. No. 148246. February 16, 2007, the Supreme Court ruled as follows:

“Delicadeza is not merely a stentorian (of a person's voice) loud and powerful.) term evincing a bygone ethic. It is a legal principle as embodied by certain provisions of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act. Section 3 of R.A. No. 3019 states in part:

Sec. 3. Corrupt practices of public officers.—In addition to acts or omissions of public officers already penalized by existing law, the following shall constitute corrupt practices of any public officer and are hereby declared to be unlawful:

(h) Directly or indirectly having a financial or pecuniary interest in any business, contract or transaction in connection with which he intervenes or takes part in his official capacity, or in which he is prohibited by the Constitution or by any law from having any interest.”

In sum, the brazen relevant damning circumstances indicate the impudent abuse of power and the detestable misuse of influence that homologously made the prohibited Senate hearing by Sen. Poe into a reality. The law of unintended consequences is surely in play.
