During
the last presidential election, I was fighting for BBM’s victory because I
thought, he would avenge the bad blood against his father, former Pres. Marcos,
Sr. reflected in the History Book, as “the most corrupt President in the
world”. I thought that the people can expect to get some cherries with
chocolate from him when he becomes President just to show the Marcos pedigree
hated corruption. That is how it should settle in. But now, when he declared in public, he would not stop
corruption done by his public officials to the people, I will fight him with
words through my FB Posts hoping to draw support from the people suffering from
poverty which stands in glaring contrast to the abundance we ought
to have if there wasn’t this serious predicament of corruption.
PBBM
has gone too far; delivering the country into an unfiltered hype often
exaggerating its importance or benefits but they didn’t come anywhere close to
making the country looking better. The way he does business is frowned upon
among the political landscape. There are some big questions to be answered and
some answers to be questioned. The entire wealth of the nation resides in the
welfare and the well-being of its citizens. The leader must watch them
enviously to protect and defend the people’s well-being against the appetite of
the public officials who corrupt.
I am
willing to draw parallel to that Chinese student who stood in front of a tank
in Tiananmen Square in 1989. I will also stand up against Pres. Marcos, Jr.
though hell should bar the way. It is clear dark storm clouds begin to form
again with Pres. Marcos, Jr. Thus, I have to fight him if only to let him
realize that corruption must be stopped because it is the boundary zone that
tells the difference between life and death of the nation and its citizens.
Pres. Marcos, Jr. must Shape up or ship out.
