THE CNN PHILIPPINES INTERVIEW LAST NIGHT ON CHAIRMAN SISON

In the news at CNN Philippines last night, the NDF-CPP-NPA chairman Jose Maria Sison was given a one-sided full interview coverage to express his reaction in a free-wheeling fashion about the decision of PRRD putting an end to the peace talks. To think that the interview was being seen by millions of people throughout the country was obviously made in bad taste.

Chairman Sison has reached a point where his acts of screaming expletives at PRRD, a democratically elected president, is not only socially unacceptable but unworthy of a standing ovation as said TV channel wanted to portray. The interview has clearly shown that the CNN Philippines has been boarding the NDF-CPP-NPA train as if doing so was essential as a sign of support.

This is far from the first time a TV channel was celebrating for Chairman Sison by taking the liberty to demonize our country’s leader, PRRD, using profane insults, to stir anger and incite witch hunts for no purpose other than to put Chairman Sison on a higher moral pedestal. The CNN Philippines, like Chairman Sison, are themselves a conundrum, a product of ‘Double Think’.

The act of CNN Philippines in allowing such uncivil discourse by Chairman Sison on the basis of moral supremacy best explains the double standard hailing the realm of the media’s political machinations and devilish madness.

It’s disgusting that while it is a national reality that the NDF-CPP-NPA of Jose Maria Sison is the cause for the atrocities of our country, the CNN Philippines allowed itself to side and support him by turning the mantra of Sison into a propeller instead of an anchor.

Truly, those who affirmatively support the enemies of the State and trying to oust PRRD, the president who is essentially keeping the lights on in serving the people, including the critics even they are against him, is a bad deal.
