WHY IS ABS-CBN STILL ON THE AIRWAVES EXPLAINED

So many people were asking in my Post at Facebook how come the Abs-Cbn was able to re-emerge on-air and continue their broadcasting on television when their franchise had expired. This is how the Abs-Cbn went around making a mockery of the law.

The Abs-Cbn bought the franchise of Ankara, which is channel 43. But the sale is illegal because, under the law, the sale of Ankara franchise cannot be valid without the approval of Congress and the NTC.

Likewise, the Abs-Cbn has also a sky cable, Ankara channel, and Abs-Cbn convergence. They have also the TV-Plus with 10 channels that are incorporated. All of these mentioned have been operating without a franchise nor a provisional authority to operate from NTC.

Nevertheless, the Abs-Cbn was adamant in insisting they do not need a franchise in these operations by virtue of Executive Order 205, dated June 30, 1987, of erstwhile Pres. Cory Aquino issued at the time the country was under Revolutionary Government. But sadly, this EO 205 has been superseded by the 1987 Constitution and rendered without force and effect.

Consequently, the argument of Abs-Cbn is gratuitous, therefore obiter and egregiously demonstrates their apparent incorrigibility. If a sinister pattern of bad faith is apparent to commit fraud, how can they not be imprisoned for ECONOMIC SABOTAGE AND PLUNDER?

There are no sacred cows here. if an ordinary person cannot enrich himself through fraudulent means, why should the Abs-Cbn be allowed to profit and make use of their media entity tainted by theft or robbery or smeared with the blood of crime?
