Yesterday
February 22, 2020, everyone was expecting a dust-up of the well-packaged web of
rallies by protesters to oust PRRD. But it turned out to be a flopped. I could
see how these detractors and destabilizers slinking away into the corner like a
cartoon character trying to avoid being noticed after doing something really
stupid.
How can you put
a good president down, you cannot. How can you depose a president who is driven
by his instinct that Filipinos ought to be handled in a careful, caressing
grip, as though all the while feeling them to make sure he was there? It was
like handling a fish that got out of the sea and he is returning it to the sea
which is its paradise.
The
oppositionists, the haters, and the detractors of PRRD ought to be wise and not
stupid. If you cannot defeat him, join him. They ought to believe in the
concept that wise is the man who listens and learns from his mistakes and the
mistakes of others. But the fools often stumble and fall by their own folly and
ignorance.
Truly, in the
prospect of being able to depose PRRD, it would be a pipe dream to the point of
laughability. Most have already declared this dynasty of oligarchs as dead in
the water.
What was
obviously seen and considered untouchable, what was regarded as the “King
Maker”, what was once known to be the Superstars who normally swing the
pendulum of power had now become one who wouldn’t even be able to tread water.
It is important to remember that no one gets what he wants all of the time.
