With
the recent “Pastillas modus of corruption in the Bureau of Immigration, I was
reminded of the Inaugural speech of PDu30. He proclaimed in a substance:
“change is coming and the ride will be rough but come and join me just the
same. Together, shoulder to shoulder, let us take the first wobbly steps
towards this quest. Do them and we will work together. Do not do them, we will
part sooner than later. You mind your work and I will mind mine.”
But all
these just fell on deaf ears on every public official and employees of the BOI
as they continue to corrupt and thumbed their noses at PRRD. That guidance and
policies conveyed have lost their vitality. What is worse, they are frequently
replaced by their antitheses, which pose with the deceitful dazzle of false
gods, clothed in tinsel and cellophane.
In
life, the rule is simple--don’t let the innocent look trick you because they
will do anything to climb to the top of the food chain. Never put your guard
down and you must outwit, outplay, and outlast the players, the rivalry, and
the arena. Trust no one and fight to your last breath. The head must prevail
over the heart because behind every face lies the untamed heart.
