Here is
a lesson that you can get from the life of ex-PNP Chief Oscar Albayalde-- If
you pray to God that your life is transformed from perplexed to comprehension,
erase all the vestiges of the skeletons in your closet and live like a Saint.
But
when God gave Gen Albayalde what he prayed for, to be the Chief PNP, he needs
to put some distance between him and the “Ninja Cops.” But instead, he found it
hard to go cold turkey and do without the said relationship because he was so
tempted by the pattern of reciprocity of an immediate quid pro quo. Albayalde
threw caution in the wind that cliché’ “If you dance with the devil, the devil
doesn’t change. The devil changes you.”
As
Chief PNP, Albayalde was the main straw that stirs the drink, so to speak, as
he had all the control of the entire PNP. There’s no asterisk or no caveat. He
had a bit of freedom, and it seems that when he saw the opportunity, he decided
to stick his hand in the “Ninja Cops” cookie jar. His insatiable thirst for
wealth drove him to betray PRRD who gave him a blanket authority to save the
Nation from the demons of the “Ninja Cops” proving that in this case, money
really was the root of all evil.
Albayalde
got caught in a spiral of lies and deceit and he didn’t know a way to get out
of it. This is once again gonna sound cliché’ but I think we can learn that
crime doesn’t pay. Looking at it, ultimately an avalanche was coming down on
Gen Albayalde sooner or later. It just wasn’t in the cards for him to get away
with a crime of this magnitude. It becomes this tangled web and he started with
lies and those lies lead to more lies and pretty soon he’s so invested just
trying to keep up and the ripple effect has fanned out of control.
EX-Chief
PNP Albayalde has become trash in the PNP that he took himself out. A little
bit of poetic justice for a bad dude and that’s where this one ends. Always
kind of relish to see a little bit of justice happened.
