The
presidential election will be on Monday and on this solemn occasion for
justice, BBM is in control, he is in a place of comfort, and is so gifted to
win. He cemented himself as the crown jewel, the rare talent, temperament, and
aura all at once. For Robredo and her think tank, their kicking dirt tactics
and character assassination against BBM was beyond the pale, a step too far,
and it did cross the line. The people
have had enough of fighting and it boomerang back and cost their defeat. Corollarily,
Robredo’s verbal bait of “Motherly Affection”, and building a snowstorm out of a patch of frost, promising anything to
achieve their ends even they know they’re incapable to stand for it, worked
against them that every time she opens her mouth, she buries herself further
into a black hole. They failed to understand that private affection and public
duty are not the same thing.
Indeed,
in a serendipitous turn of events, the nation and the Filipino people will have
Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos, Jr. as the next President.
