MY MACEDONIAN CALL TO THE MEDIA

The hearing in the Senate yesterday July 31, 2018, was the confirmation that the media concerned are selective in covering the news of national concern; and that they only cover events that they can spew beyond tasteless vile and disgusting against Du30. But let me remind them of the viciousness that has been exhumed how COMELEC rigged the 2016 National Election but curiously enough, the media skip coverage for reasons they only knew. All of us are the victims of this, and those who do not expose them are not victims but accomplices.

The suspicion against the COMELEC has the color of truth with the fact that even when the actual voting would still start in the morning of May 9, 2016; numerous transmissions of the results were already made one day before or on May 8, how does that sound well? Hardly, Corruption has gotten to this point and the crisis is almost a nationwide numbness to disaster; and that’s something that stands to harm all of us. It is now actually hell and this is what hell feels like, and there’s no way it can get any worse than this.

We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. While we cannot stop anybody whatever he desires in his life whether corruption is innate in his veins and blood but the situation is exacerbated if the media would suppress the truth from the people. There can be no gainsaying the fact that suppressing vital information by the media engulfs this Nation of ours. Its ugly record is widely known that much important news that is happening around but the public may never know because the media ignored them for the news will destroy the personalities upon which their interests lie. These are the hard, brutal facts of the case.

As in so many past experiences, our hopes had been blasted, and the shadow of deep disappointment settled upon us. We had no alternative except to make an appeal before the conscience of the people in the media to undertake a process of self-purification. The point is to make those concerned heads of the media explode and allow them to discredit themselves.

READ AND LEARN IF IT IS A COINCIDENCE OR GIFT FROM GOD

Foreign countries have just started their treasured discovery of D30 of its vast potentials. But the Filipinos have been thankful of our DU30 as he is fixing our country. YOU NEED TO BE ONE TO FIND A BRILLIANT ONE and VICE VERSA

The dispute in the West Philippine Sea is not the occupation or intrusion, or worse, invasion by China of our territory, but the obstruction of the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). With this, the Philippine Legal experts filed a case before the International Arbitral Tribunal (IAT) regarding the activities of China. China brilliantly chose not to submit jurisdiction and the IAT promptly decided in favor of the Philippines that in substance, China’s argument of ‘nine-dash line’ was not valid. Then, what now?

Sec. Lorenzana is correct that the decision of the IAT is an “Empty Victory” and I subscribe with him. IAT is not actually a court on the ground that it cannot dispose of the action or suit by applying the law applicable and is able to settle the issues involve between and among the parties fully, completely, and definitely that nothing else can be done except the execution of the decision after it became final and executory. Besides, the IAT has no coercive powers.

Reacting to a survey that said nine out of 10 Filipinos want the Philippines to retake what it has lost, Sec. Lorenzana said there are no islands to retake. China did not take any of our occupied nine islands. They took over unoccupied reefs and turned them into islands. We are still in control and in the occupation of the nine Islands in the WPS. So, was there sovereignty violated? We have the sovereign right to exploit the resources but the WPS is not our sovereign territory. Panatag Shoal, thanks to the arbitral ruling, is now the fishing ground not exclusively of the Filipinos but of Chinese, Vietnamese and Taiwanese as well. Now, DND Sec. Delfin Lorenzana was able to enlighten everybody including me in the issue of West Philippine Sea (WPS).

Analyzing how the dispute was handled by the legal team of the Philippines, with all due respect, the procedure had been turned on its head and what had been started wrongly ended up in catastrophe. The message that leaps to the eye is that before embarking on a legal contest of different dimension, make sure that the first step you make is the best one. The Philippine Legal team started on the wrong foot and everything ended wrongly including the dissemination of the news by the media.

The decision of the IAT has no smoking gun—there’s no bullet, there’s no gun, and you see how these people are blaming the DU30 administration. They had flip and flop and flailed. What they have from the IAT Decision is an Impotent howl of rage, it’s just like a helpless howl to the moon like a wolf in mouse clothing. These people are all the time in vain because they always report inaccurately, exaggeratedly; they twist or report the half-truths. Sort of Endor days feeling, almost literally saying the same thing, operating in a uniform land with gumdrop rainbows and fairy skies. They always sound like a house of cards that they’re just trying to build which won’t last.

EVEN PRRD IS SAVAGELY DISRESPECTED AND LOOKED DOWN UPON

Don’t sink your teeth into stories about Federalism that over and over again became irritating to watch because there’s not much to chew on. What the Imperial Manila Leaders and their lackeys have been saying re Federalism; that it is the path to dictatorship, promote divisiveness, encourages double taxation, exemption of Congressmen from paying income tax, term extension of public officials, not decisive in economic development, no election etcetera are not found in all the provisions in the proposed Draft of the Federal Republic Constitution. What they are doing is flipping the real paradigm of Federalism on its head and the intention is not difficult to fathom.

What they got up their sleeve is that they really do not have the intention of letting go of their control and grip on us, the Mindanaoans. The Mindanaoans have always been subservient to the domination of the Imperial Manila unquestioningly as we have been doing and had been accustomed to for centuries because they have attached a nose ring on us like a cow so they can pull us around whenever and wherever they want at their whims and caprices. We don’t have any choice but to bow, bow, and bow because we depend on them about everything for development and protection.

Let’s face it. The Imperial Manila doesn’t care about the Mindanaoans and the rest of the Filipinos. But the Mindanaoans are the ones neglected the most. They help us when they want to; they turn up the volume and turn it down when they wish to. I couldn’t say more about them. The Mindanaoans are on the last thought of every Imperial Manila Leaders. They’re more concerned about their own individual selfish interest and even leaving their suburban areas full of slums; by the river, by the sidewalks, parks; and floods all around even with the slightest rain. Practically, everywhere under the sun in Imperial Manila are squalid and topsy-turvy, a typical scenery of the poorest country in Asia. This is how cupidity of their greed and the stupidity of their mindset are playing out that they cannot even take care of their own backyard, they still have the gumption to take care of us.

Simple math no numbers to crunch, what these Imperial Manila people want is to keep us under their control and domination all the time, squeezing every drop of our resources and tearing us apart in a gargantuan fashion as long and until their opportunity lasts. This is the future that they want for the Filipinos and this is what the Mindanaoans are resisting with enormous determination to hold our ground together for Federalism. Their insistence would force us to assume a combative stance that the order for a retreat is not part of our command.

Our dream for Federalism could become the synonym if need be for willingness to be injured and death stoically faced. After a long lapse of time, these people of the Imperial Manila we’re still unwilling to believe that our nature as a warrior is as great as we’re renowned, so they’re going to pay the price. We have been humiliated due to our status as a minority that even President Rodrigo Roa Duterte (PRRD) is savagely disrespected and looked down upon. Now, the Mindanaoans might as well be prepared to the best of their power to kill or be killed if the Imperial Manila would insist to treat us as their follower or underling of a powerful person, especially a servile or unimportant one.

THIS IS OUR LAST AND ONLY CHANCE

It is said every person was built to live out his dream. It is perhaps the saddest loss to live a life on the ground without having our dream ever taking off. Why do people fail to pursue their dreams? Because they are fearful due to lack of self-confidence that they doubt themselves if they will succeed and they surrender without even trying. This is not the case with myself vis-à-vis my dream with the Federal Republic. I have that dream to have a place that let go of your space, stretches your time and respect your silence. A place as if exclusively for you and allows you to gain your luxury of freedom and rein your thoughts unperturbed from any restraint for it seems like permission from the cosmos itself. This can only be possible if the people around you are the same as you are with the same culture, the same tradition, the same values and virtues, and the same idiosyncrasies.

It is only in the Federal Republic form of government can we ever achieved them because each Regional State with its corresponding head has sovereignty of its own, work for its own, shaped and developed its Region on its own according to its culture, customs and traditions, and conduct its political and economic affairs according to what is best for their welfare and development. Remember, the ones that are opposed are only the Imperial Manila and its Oligarchs and the people who always want to be on their side as it is the guarantee that they will be anywhere near the leftover and residues.

These kinds of people refused to emancipate us from the bondage, control, and grip and forever exploit us as they have been doing since then and now. We better get this shot off the ground before the clock runs out because we know over time in life no do-over. This is our chance to change the form of government from Unitary Presidential form into Federal system. We cannot go back to the Presidential government and make a brand new beginning but we can start now and make a brand new ending with Federalism.

THE LEGEND OF MIDAS TOUCH THE ANTITHESIS OF HAPPINESS

Humans have an amazing capacity to acquire big scheme of things like power, fame, and wealth. But as soon as you achieve what you wanted, you don’t seem to be happier than before because you crave for more and you cannot be satisfied. That we always want more has made us great, but we always want more almost make us kind of miserable. Try to consider the real key to happiness.

My wish for those who are in the lap of luxury is that, be kind to those who have less in life. You may not think you are more brilliant or hardworking by creating extremely pleasant worlds than the others who are poor. It could be you were really born to have a Midas touch. Perhaps it would not be too much to ask you to share your graces to others who are hopping from one labor to another barely earning just enough to sustain them to face another day. Their poor condition will certainly have to spread in a chain reaction to their children and grandchildren that are doomed to continue the cycle, and cannot walk away from the grooved surface of misery that their parents and ancestors had routinely tumbled as they walked their way if nobody with a good heart like you to lift them up even a breath away from their anchored roots where bitterness in life is mundane that zings the heart.

The Phrase “Your concern is Human Rights, mine is Human Lives”

PRRD’s “Your concern is Human Rights, mine is Human Lives” became a famous statement in the SONA to some and infamous to others. As I try to dissect the impact of such statement, I’ll be stretching the edges of my cognitive ability when I’m talking about things because I’m in the realm of what Du30 wanted to impart.

In a disparate stream of people We actually look like we’re different species, yeah, we’re very different people but what is in common among us is that we’re able to have a conversation and that we should be aiming at making things better rather than worse because that is what unifies us.

In simplest terms, the difference between human lives and human rights is that Human rights arise simply by being a human being. It’s just like without the tree, there are no branches to see, and so, there are no human rights if there’s no human being. So, you’ve got to be very honest about your capacity to manifest that will as a human being. One who is able to exercise his will to where he is a master of himself, that person is alive. One who isn’t is not alive. A life worthwhile is life, a life isn’t worthwhile is not life.

With this philosophical stand, a person influenced by drugs or any substance that will affect his physical and mental equilibrium is not a master of himself, therefore, is not alive. But even if he appears to be physically existing but his life is not worthwhile, he still has no life with a full capacity of manifesting his will. And since he has no life, he has no human rights, especially if he is a menace of the society, if he breaks the traditional standard of morality, and, more so, if he kills the innocents.

A CELEBRATORY THANK YOU TO THE ALMIGHTY

You cannot deny there are this out-of-control rage and hatred against President DUTERTE from these detractors, the left wing, conservatives, extremists, and opportunists that like a horse with blinders they are fixated with outrageous level to oust him from power. They are just waiting for the right time and the reports have become uglier, nastier than anything that the D-Day is on the 3rd SONA. That is why when PRRD gave his incredibly full-throated speech until its conclusion without any untoward incident, it was as if it quickly brings rain dousing over the seemingly incessant days of confusion, apprehension, and worries to the citizens.

The country is rejuvenated springing to new life and gives birth to a whole new hope and strength that encouraged all of us for a promise of paradise on earth as a gift from the Almighty. PRRD wins against all the odds. A celebratory thank you Lord from all of us Filipinos who are pleased, honored, and humbled with all your graces. The dominant stood by the test of time and the epic journey for a bright future for our country is alive. PDU30 fights for the country that’s why the citizens put up with him.

TODAY IS OUR CHALLENGE-- WE EITHER WIN AS A NATION OR CRUMBLE AS FOOLS

Our beloved countrymen, these detractors, the left wing, extremists, and opportunists, have been wired to sell their principles to the highest bidder to topple PRRD down. They are the dissatisfied neurotic beings, living in urban centers, drowning in consumption in an over bloated urge that can no longer be satiated with anything because they want everything. Now, this is their last dance in fever pitch concerted fashion, they are going to unleash their tidal wave offense TODAY on this third SONA. They have to sow terror and panic to incite anarchy and they are being fueled by the mainstream media.  This is our challenge to either win as a nation, or we are going to crumble as fools. Inch by inch, force against force till they all perish or we painfully suffer, done and gone that in our deaths our eyes are open in hunger and thirst.

The enemies of the State have expressly renounced the Du30 government, they want to destroy our country’s immaculate condition, and they have directed their anger and venomous arrows at our government. This isn’t about freedom of speech and expression anymore but it is already inciting to anarchy because the destabilizers encouraged others to rise against the present administration. This is crystal clear in a more critical analysis of their Leaders’ palaver can be taken into account. They are sowing disorder and chaos and we have the right to call them out for having transcended beyond the boundaries allowed by law.

THE STATE OF THE NATION ADDRESS (SONA) IS THE LAST STRAW TO BREAK THE CAMEL’S BACK

PDU30 is an ordinary person but blessed with an island of extreme talent though unfortunately in a sea of a lynch mob media vectored by destabilizers driven by the lust for power and greed for money. Their end goal is to get back to power and they are too desperate that failure is not an option. Duterte is too good a leader who is supported and loved by the 80 % of the Filipino population. He has built a powerful personal foundation that will shatter any roadblocks that may stand in the way of his aspirations to build a country to prosperity. Though he is not necessarily the polite one, his words guaranteed to get results and he can exactly thrust his sword where it was needed, so to speak.

These enemies are the sophisticated assassins with the power of life and death of millions of Filipinos because they can buy out all and sundry with their looted money during their heydays in the past regime. Their habits, their obsessions, the whims of these people capable of subjecting the entire population to their destructive madness, they systematically employ drum up accusation on EJK and Authoritarian regime against PDU30. Despite these charges are inconsistent with the reality of the situation in the country, however, the procedural aspect of the case has since taken on a life of its own, transforming what should be a molehill into a mountain built on sediments of compounded errors but spread like wildfire applying the Hitler-Goebbels analogical tactic.

Now, the noise of their fabricated lies had become like a rock band music that some Filipinos had difficulty telling the difference between the fictional world of television and what real life was. The media was going to milk that for all they are worth because it’s a recipe for PRRD’s health breakdown. With his age of 73 years old, a highly stressful situation, a pressure cooker situation, and they just keep getting this powder keg going, the intention of these people who are inhuman without any more emotions is clear, that they anticipated Du30 will die soonest by exhaustion.

It’s about time people cultivate wisdom from their experiences of the past and be an enlightened adept against those skilled in the principles of persuasion. But as soon as they got what they wanted with all the riches and fame, the lives of the masses is thrown by the wayside. It’s been said: “It is a universal rule that there is no need to need after the need has been satisfied”.

THEY CORRUPT IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE

This coming Monday, July 23, 2018, will be the 3rd SONA of PRRD. We will once again see a flood of rallyists shouting invectives in a wild impassioned way against him. These people from different groups and sectors of society had organized and sold themselves out to the left and the conservatives that ruined our country in the last Aquino III regime. They are the ones who want to depose PRRD based on bleaching of facts to outright deception buried underneath a mosaic of lies, and that through their skilled persuasion and using clerics and religion will attempt to persuade the Filipinos once again that they are the good guys and DU30 is the bad.

This is a big fat cold icy frozen No. When it comes to credibility, it is axiomatic that ‘He who wants change must not stand on a crooked branch to cut a straight one’. It is the reverse. Simply put, these detractors and destabilizers for progress wanting to oust DU30 are the ones who are the cause of the cause of the entire crisis that we have; and that PRRD is now walking against the headwind in solving them. They are the ones, no matter how loud they yell on the horizon, that should be cut down and not PRRD. They thought the Filipinos have forgotten their crimes because they are no longer in charge. They are a bit like a bank robber coming into court and arguing that, although he has been sticking up banks for the past half-decade, he has agreed to a temporary halt and therefore he shouldn’t be prosecuted.

We need a good leader whose concern and love is with humanity more than personal gain. It does not matter if it is somebody that falls from the sky but is able to give us honest to goodness governance, and not a liar and a skulduggery so that we don’t have to be wary of the unmitigated skulduggery of the last regime again. Does it really matter who that would be? I don’t care. As a Christian, it’s better to have an infidel as a just ruler than to have an unjust Christian like those who wanted to depose PDu30.

October 4, 1990 MINDANAO SIEGE-- COL ALEXANDER NOBLE PROCLAIMED FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF MINDANAO

Hereunder is the complete and detailed autobiography of ATTY. ABETO A. SALCEDO, JR. quoted verbatim from his Blog realtruestories.blogspot.com entitled Tribute to Madame President Cory…. THE REBEL AND ME. 

“The intelligence I secured was very sensitive against the rebels --their strategic military failure and depleted resources, the situational factors that pushed them to the bargaining table. Irrefutably, it was the key factor that made the rebels to surrender peacefully. Their formidable weapon for bluff which would be:

that they had the possession and control of the 4th ID Camp, one and the biggest military camp in Northern Mindanao; that with all the canons and arsenals available therein, they can last in battle till kingdom come; and that in the course of the battle disastrous collateral damage would necessarily result,

had been transformed into an alluring sound rather than reverberating fear. Thus, in the negotiation, the government Chief Negotiator Sen. Pimentel was the one making the deadline as the power to unleash the words “Or Else we will attack” was in his hands.

The following were the specific details of that phenomenal event as to how I happened to get that seriously sensitive information that turned the most feared man into submission. First of all, it should be remembered that the name Alexander Noble echoed with fear all over the world at the time. Where can you find someone with only a Junior Lt Col on his side and something about sixteen to nineteen persons, composed of around six soldiers and the rest were CHDF (Civilian Home Defense Force), managed to travel about five to six hundred kilometers from Agusan del Sur to Cagayan de Oro City, and in the process, passing about twenty nine military checkpoints along the highway with not a single soldier courageously tried to stop them, and upon arrival in Cagayan de Oro City, the commander of the 4th ID Camp, BGen Miguel Sol, slink out of sight and abandoned his Camp.

At about 11 o’clock A.M. on October 5, 1990, one day after Noble and his group took over the 4th ID Camp; I disguised and entered the camp riding my 125 Yamaha motorcycle. There was an eerie silence, nobody was guarding the entrance gate but I saw a number of rebel soldiers scattered in strategic points, some of them on top of a park armored personnel carrier. They saw me but didn’t mind. I went straight to the building called “The Commander’s White House” where I knew Col Noble was based as the news had revealed. I was met calmly by a soldier downstairs and politely inquired about my presence, and I confidently introduced myself as Atty. Abeto A. Salcedo, Jr., a former Ist Lt of the JAGO, and that I came over to see Alex (I never knew Noble from Adam). Perhaps thinking I could be his friend, he ushered me personally to him. Luckily Col Alexander Noble was in friendly mode, and after that soldier presented me to him, cordially extended his right arm to shake hands, which I willingly responded. He then gestured that I may sit down. As soon as we had sat down comfortably at the conference table, we talk and I won his trust and confidence. PLEASE NOTE; WHAT FOLLOWS WAS THE CENTER OF THE REVELATION.

Then, Col Noble explained to me in this manner, “ATTORNEY, PUMUNTA LANG AKO DITO PARA KAUSAPIN SI GEN. SOL, PERO UMALIS SIYA, INIWANAN ANG CAMPO KAYA’T I TOOK OVER THE COMMAND, KASI WALANG MAG-ASIKASO SA CAMPO, EH.” While in that instance, Col. Victor Erfie, politely interruptive us and as his face displayed a reluctant smile as he glanced at me, said: “EXCUSE SIR.” But before he could yet utter a word, Col. Noble introduced me to him, “SI ATTORNEY SALCEDO, ATIN SIYA.” Then Col Erfie continued, “SIR, MY PROBLEMA TAYO, SI MAYOR CANOY (REFERRING TO FORMER MAYOR REUBEN CANOY) HINDI NA MAKAPAGPADALA NG PAGKAIN NGAYON TANGHALI KASI HINAHANAP NA NANG NBI (NATIONAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION), AT ANG MGA CANYON AT LAHAT NA MGA ARMAS KINUNAN NG MGA FIRING PIN, BAGO UMALIS SI GEN SOL, AT ANG MGA BALA SA CAMPO TINAGO. SIR, MGA TAO PUYAT NA MASYADO, WALANG MAKAKAIN AT ANG ATING MGA BALA KAKAUNTI NALANG.” At this juncture, since all of us were military men, each one knew that the information was so seriously sensitive and damaging to the rebels that could bring them into a compromising situation if known to the enemy. Considering that they are in a situation where bluff is the name of the game, I knew that because I heard that information, my life would now be in the tightrope. Instinctively, I immediately said: “LEX, MAY MAGAGAWA TAYO, AKO NA ANG BAHALA, KAYA KO ANG PAGKAIN, WALANG PROBLEMA, AT YOONG IBANG PROBLEMA GAGAWAN KO NG PARAAN, IIKOT NA AKO.” Then, I immediately stood up as if I am in hurry. Noble and Erfie, as I keenly observed them, seemed confused whether to believe me or not. They both looked at each other, and perhaps by the sheer sweep of luck, or shall I say destiny, Noble, as he stoops a little, condescendingly said: “OK ATTORNEY, PLEASE HA, PERO ATIN LANG YOONG NARINIG MO” then tapping slightly my left shoulder with his right hand. And I replied, trying to be natural as I could, “HUWAG KAYONG MAG-ALALA, ALAM KO NA YAN.”

Thereafter, at about 2:30 o’clock P.M., Senator Pimentel, the erstwhile DILG Sec. Santos (deceased), Sec. Leong (deceased), Governor Emano, and Mayor Pablo Magtajas were having a press conference at the City Mayor’s Office, then and there, while the press conference was in progress, I went straight to a family friend Senator Aquilino Q. Pimentel and whispered to him that I have to tell him the intelligence I secured personally. He looked at me in disbelief and said wait for me outside. In a couple of seconds, I saw him stood up from the conference and we talked privately. Then I told him what I’ve heard when Col Erfie reported to Col Noble in my presence. Sen. Pimentel was very happy with the information I gave him. Then he said to me “OK” and went back to the conference.

At about 8 o’clock P.M., at the Office of then-Mayor Pablo Magtajas, while the latter, together with the then Kagawad Maandig, and myself were monitoring the situation, a person came and presented himself as a soldier sent by then DILG Secretary Luis Santos. He then asked Mayor Magtajas he was looking for Atty. Salcedo. Mayor Magtajas asked why, and the man said, that Sec. Santos was able to read lip what Atty. Salcedo had whispered to Sen. Pimentel. That was why Sec. Santos sent him to look for him. So, Mayor Magtajas pointed at me an assured me there was no problem. I asked the soldier why Sec. Santos wanted to see me, and the soldier answered the Secretary, together with then Col Ruiz and Lt Col Paras (Ruiz later became Brigadier General shortly thereafter) wanted that I brief them the actual situation in the 4thID Camp. I went with him in a private jeep, apprehensive he might be one ordered by Noble to look for me. But it turned out he was real. At Lumbia airport I saw the one battalion of the marines, and Sec. Santos, Gen Ruiz, and Col Paras met me. They asked me to brief them where Noble and his men were located; the surroundings of the Camp; where could be their entrance to attack; which side there were plenty of houses to avoid hitting them; the kind of high powered weapons the rebels had, and how many rebels there were etcetera. I was told by them the marines would jump off at 4:30 o’clock dawn and enter the Camp. At about 9:30 o’clock P.M., after my briefing with the marines, I immediately called Sen. Pimentel by two-way radio and told him that if Noble and his men will not surrender before 4:30 o’clock dawn, they will surely be human baggage. At 2:30 o’clock early dawn, on October 6, 1990, Noble and his men, peacefully surrendered to Sen. Pimentel. At about 1:30 P.M. a fokker plane landed at Lumbia Airport and we escorted Noble and Erfie, together with Senator Pimentel, Mayor Magtajas, the late DAR Secretary Leong, Atty. Fred Gapuz, Vice-Mayor Tony Soriano, myself, and many others to the Villamor Air Base where the two captured leaders were taken to their stockade.

The personalities that I have mentioned here are still living as of the present time, except for Sec. Luis Santos, and Sec. Benjamin Leong. The Camp Commander of Camp Crame at the time, Col Bobby Lastimoso, who treated us well when we visited him, is also still alive.

I really value peace that I risked my life for peace. It’s not hard to do. You must believe me, I have done it and it’s fulfilling until now. We’ve only got one life so we may as well accomplish something that the world will be benefited more than can be conveyed, and give ourselves something to remember and be truly proud of when we looked back in our old age and reflect on our life. Can’t we do it all for our Country too? To Alex, may I offer my hand of friendship? I hope somebody can work it out that Colonels Noble and Erfie, and myself will meet again and be seen shaking hands and embracing each other. All’s well that ends well. Let’s thank no one but destiny.”

HIS LIFE SHEDS A GENIAL RAY—PHILIPPINE PRES. DU30

The man who was shrinking responsibility and breaking rules in his younger years, a tough guy getting into street fights and knocking the hell out of them. Such competitive and toughness very much define Du30’s character. He made the most of other skills and took from them all in turn. He won all and remained undefeated in all elective positions he aspired including the unthinkable- the presidency, a strategy he didn’t invent but may have perfected, a persona, an aura one of a kind. 

It was a long journey from renegade to alpha for Du30 and now he keeps order in our country. As the President, he had that unique ability to sort of stake out bold actions but always positions where the enemy would be at a disadvantage in responding to him. Springing from constitutional roots, Du30 demanded the granting and return of the rights seized from and denied to the nation, and he endeavors that whatever he does should not only be measured by its utility, but also by universal standards. This is because his deeds must pass the test not only here, but also in eternity. Thus, they are exhilarating but sober; ecstatic but practical; glorious, but temperate. This is the Du30 way to the core. 

I JEERED WITH DERISION AS I WRITE THIS POST

The Filipinos have been traditionally indoctrinated by our forefathers to be amalgamated to help and protect one another for our race to thrive and not become extinct from the face of the earth. Nevertheless, that amalgam is diluted and so enervated by the venom driven by the cupidity of greed for money and power, turning affectionate tribes into hostile strangers. These people who talk highfalutin English and took pride to have graduated from big Universities sold themselves out to the highest bidder to oppose Federalism. They have compromised and there is so much manipulation of religion. This is a blunder for most Filipinos who believe so.

These people are just exposing their thick faces because the party or organization they were affiliated are borne out to have ruined our country and descended it into hell. The Filipinos have condemned them and forfeited their trust when the truth about their governance got buried beneath a mosaic of lies. The Filipinos measure the performance of leaders against a high benchmark, laid out by a plethora of codes, rules, and norms. They also hold the special role of gatekeepers of truth and transparency in good governance. But instead, they resorted to the bleaching of facts to outright deception and the deception is usually done in recognizing the source where money can be generated and make sure they squeezed every drop out of these opportunities. Surely and always the end result is a tragedy for our Country.

Now, these people opposing Federalism are the destabilizers for progress like a tsunami washing away every effort of PDU30 who is trying to keep the flame of progress attended to and propel our country toward a new dawn brighter than any had been seen in a hundred years. How can the Filipinos believe these people who represent death, destruction, or some other terrible fate?

WE KNOW WHAT YOU DID AND WE KNOW WHAT YOU ARE

Last night the TV channels were at it again applying the analogical tactic of Hitler-Goebbels tandem by reporting only the criticisms of former CJ Davide and former Comelec Chair Monsod about the proposed Federalism drafted by the Puno Committee. The TV channels shamelessly had exhaustively given them the kind of coverage they wanted with utmost fulfilling satisfaction to their heart’s content.

To the Filipinos who believe PRRD, don’t be trapped by dogma which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown you out. As Einstein said, not everything that counts can be counted and not everything that’s counted truly counts. This is only what I can say to the ‘tandem’ Davide and Monsod, that if it is their aspiration to become the advocate and/or crusader for everything good for the Filipinos, they are barking at the wrong tree.

Like the hen that cackles is the one that lays the egg, they should not have wasted their sweat and time shouting against the proposed Federalism, instead, what they ought to have directed their noise and explode them on the horizon should have been against their own people, inside their own circle, their own group.

Every time these kinds of people show their faces on TV, they represented the Billions and Billions of pesos they are being accused to have embezzled, namely: Barangay center ghost projects; Yolanda funds; Dengvaxia tragedy; DAF and PDAF; low cost housing project anomalies; the Mamasapano massacre; the Zamboanga siege rehabilitation; Comelec computers; LTO plate numbers fiasco; anomalous MRT deals; the Mahindra Police Patrol Cars fiasco; and so on until eternity, jesusmariaejoseph.

Lord, give the enemies of PDU30 the wisdom to know

what must be done and the courage to do only the right thing.

And that when they give us a hundred reasons to join them to oust PRRD, we will show them we have a thousand reasons to support him. Amen.

THE REAL CONCEPT OF FEDERALISM BEING ENVISIONED

Our national hero Jose Rizal had proposed to the Spaniards for a Federal system in the Philippines during that time but was not heeded to, hence, for 400 years since the time we were under the rule of Spain, the Philippines has been a unitary Presidential system of government, which means all the political and economic powers are in the hands and dispensed with by the Central Government headed by the president with the seat of power in Manila. That is why, all the people with all kinds of National concerns had to go to Manila for days, for weeks, and months, going back and forth spending borrowed money, precious time, and tiring effort to get a life and death necessity. 

Under the proposed Federal system of government, this is not anymore the case. We don’t have to go to Manila anymore for whatever concerns we have under the sun because almost everything the Central government had in its power will now be transferred and exercised by law by the various Regional States that will be created by Congress under the approved Federal Republic Constitution. In effect, our Federalism is a means towards greater development and where public services are rendered more efficiently by the government instrumentality nearest to the people being served. Forthrightly, under Federalism, each Regional State with its corresponding head has sovereignty of its own, work for its own, shaped and developed its Region on its own according to its culture, customs and traditions, and conduct its political and economic affairs according to what is best for the welfare and development that only the rule of law is its limitation; and it shall be accountable for the efficient and honest governance of the Province, Cities, Municipalities, and Barangays within its territory and boundaries.

Premises duly considered, how in the world can ex-Chief Justice Hilario Davide say that the proposed Federal system of government is the path to dictatorship when in fact the powers of the executive and even the legislative will be mostly transferred in the hands of the Regional States? I would say, his apprehension was just purely based on speculation, surmises, and conjectures, and this is even a fly in the face of reason on his part not only as a lawyer but also as a former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, with all due respect to him. We, lawyers, do not deal on anything except established facts because allegations, speculations, surmises, and conjectures have no place in our judicial system. Nevertheless, the Honorable Davide is now shouting didactically to his heart’s content to the whole world about a situation which is clearly and emphatically the opposite of what he believes otherwise. Dictatorship as commonly understood is a ‘One-Man Rule’ system of government. But in the Federal system, it is a decentralization and distribution of powers among the Regional States of the Democratic Republic of our country.

THEY HAVE DONE IT BEFORE, IT’S EASY FOR THEM TO DO IT AGAIN

If you agree we are facing countless problems in our country right now, who caused them? It is the Aquino III previous administration! Nevertheless, if you listen to the news in all TV networks, you will always notice that every news about PDU30 is all inflammatory, vitriolic, all smoke and mirrors to dehumanize him. The TV networks never report anything good about him, and if they cannot evade such important news and they have to report it, they minimize what happened. Whereas, on the side of the detractors, what the TV networks always show are all ‘high bars’ for them. These media who allowed themselves to be used by the detractors of PDU30 are not exactly taking the high road and I think it might fit into the category of some of the immature discourse that we’ve seen. There is much important news happening around about the good things PRRD is doing but we may never know because no reporters and TV channels care.

The media should use their common sense that the ultimate goal of the enemies is to create disorder to our country and at the first sign of chaos; they will immediately leave the country as they have everything ready for their escape. We can’t be naïve about them because these detractors and destabilizers were the ones who ruined our country during the Pnoy administration with the pretext of duty; and he who does not take them into consideration is not erroneous, but mad, metaphysically mad. A concerned citizen, never losing sight of principles, is to be guided by circumstances; and judging contrary to the exigencies of the moment, may ruin his country forever.

THE PACMAN MANNY PACQUIAO

As my kind of gesture in congratulating Sen. Manny Pacquiao-- You have won another battle in boxing and like a flying 'V' of ducks that crossed the sky overhead, you are heading home. How beautiful the world is for you that you are like a king to everyone because you represented someone getting to the top. The pride that our country had, there was so much excitement and it was amazing how many people wanted to be on the bandwagon. Everybody wanted a piece of you, you know because you were the guy that beat the Argentinian Matthysse.

Matthysse was known as a fighting machine but as he was facing you in the ring he was a caricature of what he was known, and the aura of invincibility was gone. So, the boxing match itself was anticlimactic, an execution rather than an explosion. No one in the auditorium is paying attention to Matthysse as he goes. People are only interested in winners. Look at the sad dejected head of Matthysse. Nobody wants to mob a beaten champion. Never has there been anthology which was more consistently entertaining and exciting round by round by round as when one of the protagonists is MANNY ‘PACMAN’ PACQUIAO. 

THE DESTABILIZERS WITH THE HITLER-GOEBBELS LIKE STRATAGEM ARE INCITING TO ANARCHY

We have seen the Kadamays descended into anarchy like a tidal wave forcibly entered and occupied the various housing projects; we have seen the spate of assassination of public officials and killings of suspected drug personalities in every part of our country; we have seen alarming buildings and houses burning which I suspected to be intentional as if to sow terror and panic to the people; we have seen lately a banner hanged in main thoroughfares scribbled “welcome to the Philippines Province of China”; and we have seen entrepreneurs simultaneously increased the prices of everything under the sun. All these are being blamed to the present administration funneled by the detractors and fueled by the media.

NOW the enemies’ hatred at PRRD has reached a fever pitch. It has become uglier, nastier than anything we have seen in modern political history. These horrific developments are examples of a much, much larger pattern of vile, disturbing destabilizers’ hatred that now is encouraging violence. This isn’t even really about freedom of speech but it is already inciting to anarchy because the destabilizers encouraged others to rise against the authority of the status quo. This is crystal clear they are sowing disorder and chaos and I have the right to call them out for being beyond tasteless vile and disgusting.

You cannot deny there are this out-of-control rage and hatred coming from the enemies of the State today. It is a very, very dangerous game that is being played out here. They were all unhappy with PRRD being our President. They haven’t expected and accepted him and the way it would be resolved is if he was eradicated or taken out.

All of the Pnoy previous administration policy effectively made our country worse, it funneled all these crises our country is facing now, and we’ve seen the consequences of that. So, we’ve got a big problem on our hands right now and I think PRRD is doing the best he can with what he gave us or what he was left with so far.

This intended violence against PRRD it was wrong then and it’s wrong now. This is a witch-hunt, it is a false narrative being compounded by another false narrative. Media filibuster for PRRD these bad reporters are no worse than most. As we are seeing in our country, it’s a clash of wills and opposing skills that echo all throughout and in our midst. In this fight, the people have the most to lose.

INSTEAD OF A LINE IMAGINE A WEB OF INFINITE CONNECTIONS

All of us are way more than what we think that in times of trouble, we have to be more than we are because if we aren’t, we’re not going to survive. Our country is relatively in trouble because the enemies of the state are relentlessly rocking the boat and putting our stable society in danger. Now is the time PRRD must realize the solution of the problem he is facing does not come only from his inner circle because there were so many instances where grand ideas from brilliant advisers turned out disastrous. Creative people always immerse themselves in vast amounts of material and have to absorb a vast number of ideas that have been thought by others. It always involves getting inspiration from a vast of different ideas from all kinds of sources.

It is the idea from different sources, from different people of different levels, from different idiosyncrasies, of less brilliant ideas that we should listen and heed. After all, more often, the solution of a problem comes from an unexpected source. Great things come in small packages. Believe in this, the big problem does not require big solution but small inspiration, this means, in solving a problem, you don’t immediately look for a solution, but just small thing that will give you the inspiration from which comes the idea that will light up everything which before was dark.

Temujin/Genghis Khan was inspired by a single arrow which represents a single tribe that it can easily be broken but many tribes together would be strong, they could never be broken. Steve Job got his inspiration that created the computer from the meow of a cat. Carnegie convinced the people that the bridge he constructed was strong and stable by using the elephant to cross it because the elephant would not cross a bridge if it is not strong and stable. Salt is just a tiny crystal but a giant impact because salt has a superpower over power. Salt saved both food and people. This tiny crystal built our roads, our canals, our cities, and allowed civilization itself to rise. History transformed by the simple chemistry of salt and the invisible way that salt draws moisture out of things.

IT IS TIME TO DRAW THE LINE ON THE SAND

Today, the strategy of the detractors of PRRD is crystal clear; that widespread hate campaign, screwed up facts and twisted information; the news they are spreading daily about PRRD is not palatable, and the great things that are happening in our country that PRRD has been doing are blacked out.  This design of approach in destroying PRRD has been taken by these detractors from Hitler and Joseph Goebbels when they manipulated their own people for them to rise up to power, an apple to apple comparison. I will quote it verbatim and it is now simple for you to connect the dots of this growing rhetoric of savagery we are seeing in the news media daily: “Never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong.” The philosophy of Hitler and Goebbels is that “The people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one, and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it.”

There is always a time for the truth to come out and what is lurking beneath the surface has finally been known to erupt into full view the corrupt intent of the enemies of PRRD. These destabilizers have exceeded their wildest dreams and expectations that the Filipinos are always impotent as they have been successful in manipulating us in the previous regime. So, what do we believe now that everybody has time to marinate and spin what is the state of play of the enemies of PRRD are playing? It is time for the Filipinos to draw the line on the sand because the boundary zone between to believe or not to believe the detractors, the destabilizers, and the media tells the difference between life and death for us all Filipinos. 

THOSE WHO WANT TO OUST/KILL PRESIDENT RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE

Are you proud of what you have? They’re the result of what you stole and robbed. The Filipinos were disillusioned with what you did, that left them practically nothing to eat. So, many had painfully suffered and now they are done and gone that in their deaths their eyes are open to hunger and thirst. Oh god, this isn’t fair. Your heart does not bleed, and your conscience smeared with greed.

You have been too hard and you have the worse habitual traits any person can possibly have. But the money you love, and the wealth you crave they won’t save you and you leave this planet earth with a multitude of disasters. Your fate will inevitably meet you as you fall and you will have to regret and be enveloped with fear and despair. You will finally believe what you had always known that sorrows and regrets always come after and it’s too late.

You will have to blame yourself why you did not heed the warning that your conscience had dictated. Now you have no right to be sorry for yourself for the misfortune that strikes everyone. When judgment comes, it is time you ask where your friends are, your families, and the power you wield with the arrogance and the pride you displayed. They are all gone and none that you could find, leaving you alone forsaken and totally abandoned.

Had you only listened to the moaning and cries of the Filipino people, had you been so fair and clear, knew when to share and how to care you could have been saved from the eternal flame called hell. It’s now too late to fix everything that you did wrong you made our country crumble and tumble.

PRRD FACING A DANGEROUS STING

PRRD, like Caesar, is not as distinguished as the others and certainly was not rich as the likes of the Ayalas or Henry Sy but he had the glow and that aura and charisma that nobody else had. PRRD like Caesar can make you do what he thought you should do by giving you a speech. He showed much courage and guts and he stands for something new. PRRD, like Caesar, is a real threat to conservatives because he stands out in every way as their antithesis and there is very little they can do about it but only to kill him.

Likewise, PRRD has the character like Alexander the Great that when  Alexander wanted to untie the Gordian knot he struggled to do so without success. Alexander then reasoned that it would make no difference how the knot was loosed, so he drew his sword and sliced it in half with a single stroke. In the same manner that for PRRD, to untie the Gordian knot on drugs, it would make no difference how he is going to untie the knot.

Are the two kings mentioned above a coincidence that PRRD is like them? The two kings were very popular in the history books and there is no question that PRRD as early as now, he has already been very popular not only in our country but in the entire world.

We do not know what will be PRRD’s fate now and then as he is battling the detractors, the destabilizers, and the CIA in his colossal effort to untie the Gordian knot. We really do not know and your guess is as good as mine. What I only knew about is that PRRD’s star just keeps shinning so bright and that he is part of the story of the world now. As it has been truthfully portrayed, We are like swimmers in the sea poised on top of a huge wave of fate which hangs uncertain to which side to fall and whether it will heave us up to land or whether it will roll us out to sea, back out to sea to the deep waves of death, we know not and no search will make us know, only the event will teach us in its hour.

DO NOT STIR UP THE HORNET’S NEST

I am the person that since I was in elementary, I was already idolizing National and Local politicians. I can still remember my favorite Senatorial candidates who were always at the tip of my tongue then and now, they are Antonino, Climaco, Katigbak, Manahan, Manglapus, Osias, Rodrigo, Ziga. And the Locals who are the likes of Mayors Tenying Borja and Seriña, and the idol of everyone, Emanuel ‘Maning’ Pelaez, and others. These kinds of politicians emerged the new breed of principled and honest politicians after the Icon Pres. Ramon Magsaysay died. Gone are the days that my generation was able to witness such kinds of politicians whose reputations were beyond reproach and they died with an unblemished record. They were the politicians who rivaled themselves in competing who among them had the best performance and took pride they were the best in serving their constituents. I’m nostalgic thinking about them.

During that time, our generation can easily identify who were the corrupt elective and appointive public officials because there were few of them and they noticeably had a lavish lifestyle marked of perversion and madness and we looked at them with contempt; and everyone avoided them, even their shadow. But now, it is the opposite. Politicians who were the poor jolt to riches as extreme as night and day as soon as they are in the government position. They rise to the top on a tide of greed and ambition and drown in it. Worst, they stick in coalition bind themselves together for life and death that all the millions in turquoise green, greener than the deepest sea they had widely scooped over time, manifesting their bestial taste, must never fly away. The irony is that those who were seen to embezzle or misappropriate the country’s funds are walking about as “big men” with their sycophants and everyone was mesmerized by the way they dressed, the way they talk; the way they move their hands and all are determined to imitate them and live the kind of life they were living.

These are the people who now wanted to oust PRRD and they are determined as hell to depose him as they cling to their loot, their heydays of milk and honey, that they cannot see their life without it. The Filipinos treasured PRRD who falls like manna from heaven as the light of dawn always comes right after the deepest darkness. All Filipinos who are steadfast in standing behind him will be assured that one glorious day we will reign and get back everything they got. Until we steer our destiny with glory to save ourselves, these senseless glutton will continue to imprison us, destroying anyone who speaks against their ambitions.
