Go is obviously adopting Inday Sara as his vice-president. And then, PRRD will take the senatorial position, anticipating to become a Senate President. Mayor Sara is seriously too good. She always makes a lot of heads turn because of her impressive achievements as Mayor in Davao. Such stretches of accomplishment are where her experience plays a huge role. There is just a razor-thin margin that separates Mayor Sara from PRRD. All of the stuff shines brightly when she becomes the President of the Republic of the Philippines.

 

MAYOR SARA MUST RUN AS PRESIDENT NOT VICE-PRESIDENT

 

Mayor Sara Duterte Carpio jumps through the screen to snatch the viewer’s heart when she withdrew yesterday her reelection bid as mayor in Davao. But her withdrawal sparked a frenzy of anticipation as the people had dissected such withdrawal into a series of different speculations whether she would run for president or vice-president. I prefer Mayor Sara to run as president. Otherwise, she would be perceived as riding the proverbial coattails of an established name of BBM who is now leading in the survey for president.

If Mayor Sara chooses to run as president, the rest of the opponents are going to have a whole lot more trouble to defeat her than BBM. More importantly, between Mayor Sara and BBM, the former has more experience, more wisdom, and most reliable to ensure that all great things that have been achieved by PRRD for our country continues to develop and maintain the remarkable equilibrium in the midst of increasingly competitive and troubled world.

 

 

THE RESURFACE OF EX-POL COL EDUARDO ACIERTO

 

I am here to sound the alarm about the fugitive with infinite resources from the enemies of the State who poses threat to the people and to the entire nation. The resurface of ex Pol Col Eduardo Acierto with a devastating statement of intent in his You tube video was a huge red flag and kind of wake-up call for PRRD and the country that perhaps something might be a foot. Remember, Acierto and the people who pulls the string behind the curtain, they are the eye of the storm. I cannot possibly guess the horror that is about to unfold.

This is usually the case that when you see a man suddenly jumps out of his hiding place you must be ready for that. Because this absolutely says bad things are coming. It meant bad stuff is coming and it is never with a bouquet of flowers.

 

PAST BEHAVIOR IS THE BEST PREDICTOR OF FUTURE BEHAVIOR

 

Let’s be careful of candidates whose words don’t match their actions. You just aren't aware of them because you live in your own head. What we prefer our politicians to be is he is able to rise above the mire of small details and see the whole. Our country, our flag, and our pride as Filipinos are all at stake in this coming presidential election. If we allow ourselves to be deceived by these Yellows/Pinklawans another time, surely, if life wasn’t already hard enough, things will go a whole lot worse and I don't think we would all fit under the rock we would be hiding under like ostriches.

 

Remember, no matter how poor a country we are or what we’re going through, we can turn it around 180 degrees to progress and prosperity that even the world says is impossible. All we have to do is we will not just vote blindly but to the one who has a track record of accomplishments as a public servant whose heart and soul is to serve the Filipino people with more creative flair and fire.

I DON’T TAKE SIDES BUT HEREUNDER ARE THE OPPOSING ARGUMENTS ON THE ISSUE FOR DISQUALIFICATION AGAINST FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR OR BBM.

 

A short retrospect of the disqualification issue is that BBM was convicted for tax evasion which is a crime involving moral turpitude. The decision of the Court of Appeals became final and executory in 1995. In the COC of BBM, he stated he was never convicted of any crime involving moral turpitude. BBM clearly lied, thus, a case has been filed before the COMELEC for his disqualification.

THIS CAN BE THE ARGUMENT FOR THE DEFENSE:

The decision of the Court of Appeals (CA) cannot be executed anymore and has no force and effect because ten (10) years had already elapsed. Under the Rules of Court, the final decision must be executed within 5 years. After that, it can still be executed by filing an independent action within another 5 years. The BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue) failed to do the two remedies; therefore, the decision is now unenforceable as it is a useless scrap of paper.

COUNTER ARGUMENT FOR THE COMPLAINANT:

The law on prescription cannot be applied against the government. The BIR being an instrumentality of the government, therefore, prescription does not apply.

Under the foregoing facts and circumstances, at the end of the day, it is ultimately the SC that will finally decide and put an imprimatur to the case, which will take 5 years or so it seems. In the meantime, BBM will remain as a candidate for president.
