What started promising when Sen. Bong Go and
PRRD filed their respective candidacies, it immediately vanished as quickly as
it came when they withdrew. It wasn’t a wrong turn but rather a wrong decision.
With no more Bong Go and PRRD, the odds were clearly against the country and
its citizens. The withdrawal of PRRD and Sen. Bong Go can therefore be
summarized with just a few words: disappointment, shock, misfortune, and
heartbreak.
We start to teleport the possibilities how
everyone of the rival presidentiables right now is pretty much kicking dirt on
PRRD and Sen. Bong Go. The rival oppositions would be eating the once exciting
duo alive; the dirt was being shoveled on their grave; and the nail was being
hammered into the coffin because one of the rivals will be elected president.
What inevitably happens next would be that
all kinds of madness in the country are going to proliferate once again with
impunity, namely: the tanim bala; the ABS-CBN; NPA and terrorism bombings; tax
evasions; smugglers; drugs, criminality; corruption; and all and every part of
it the Filipinos experienced before the time of PRRD, we will have it once
again. Then, when everything drives everyone crazy, every cell in everyone’s
body was screaming and each of us scrambled to find a way out of the situation.
Then, God forbids, the military and the police will take over and the country
will become another Myanmar.
As soon as all of the foregoing happens, God
forbids, that’s the time all of us Filipinos will realize how PRRD and Sen.
Bong Go are priceless. They’ve done too many great things, the embodiment of
what a public servant should be; they make our country back on track and set in
motion towards progress.
