MY CLASSMATES LET US THANK GOD THAT WE ARE HEALTHY

LET US THANK GOD FOR WHO WE ARE 

AND WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR EVERYTHING HE GAVE US

AND WHAT HE WILL GIVE US.

My God, this reminds me of when we were young. Last night Nov. 29, 2018, we celebrated our XUHS Batch ’68, 50 year Golden Jubilee, at Limketkai Atrium. It’s like a dream come true that many of us made it and we’re sorry for the 38 of our classmates who died. Everybody was watching us live on Facebook and at the venue itself because we feel like home.

Many of our classmates had been by ourselves like we were in our younger days dancing, laughing, and teasing each other the way we used to do in our high school days. The others chose to be more reserve projecting they have changed as if they were sad about getting old and that was just the way they thought proper to celebrate the event.

XUHS BATCH ‘68-- We have a different moment in time now, but the context of each of us whom we had fun together, and admire and respected are still the same. There’s been adversity in life’s lesson along the way, but we’re always ready for the next challenge.

THE PROOF DUTERTE IS A THINKING PRESIDENT

The fear and threats employed by PDU30 to stop drugs, criminality, and corruption have limited impact on behavior. According to Science, it is the thrill of a gain that induces a person to change behavior. But My God, PDU30 is doing both, the warnings to STOP and the gain for progress for our country as REWARDS.

It is a deep-rooted belief, that if fear is induced, it will get them into action. But warnings and threats as scientists have proven have very limited impact on behavior. It is because the effect is just to tend to shut down and put our head in the ground and try to eliminate the negative feelings by making rationalizations. Then, you assume that there’s really nothing to worry about. And this process can actually make you feel more resilient than you did before, which is why warnings sometimes have this boomerang effect.

Science finds that people tend to change belief towards a more desirable opinion, which means people listen to positive information. People take-in information they want to hear than the information that they don’t want to hear.

So, therefore, we might as well go along with how our brain works and not against it. Then use these 3 principles that will really drive your mind and your behavior, namely:

1) SOCIAL INCENTIVES, which means highlighting what other people are doing is a really strong incentive. Being social people, we really care what other people are doing. We want to do the same and we want to do it better.

For PDU30, he has shown he is not a corrupt president and progress is now the fight of his life making our dream into reality. By Duterte’s example, the others will tend to follow because they also want to be part to seek progress.

2) IMMEDIATE REWARDS. We value immediate rewards that we can get now more than rewards we can get in the future. The here-and-now reward you would rather have than something that’s uncertain in the future. This is realistic because receiving the reward now is sure compared to in the future which is unsure.

In Duterte’s case, he has shown he leads by example he is not corrupt. Without corruption, progress abounds around the nation.

3) PROGRESS MONITORING. This means to get the people’s attention by highlighting the progress, not the decline. This is because the thrill of a gain induces action.

The build, build, build program by rolling out 75 flagship projects worth a combined total of $36 billion in investments must be highlighted. Some of them have already been finished and opened for public use. Many others are expected to be realized in the future.

MY SIMPLE BUT REAL PORTRAYAL OF OUR PRESIDENT

My life experiences are a vast pool of knowledge living with one leadership as compared to the other. Simply stated, the Filipinos have experienced the kind of life we had during the leadership of both the Aquino’s mother and son presidency and we should know the outcome if their yellow-liberal party will return to power.

In many ways, like wine, it’s an acquired taste and once it’s tasted, it is now the basis to stick with it or not. Of course, nobody will live the kind of life that you experience in the Pnoy era where they live in utmost luxuries and satiation while the stomachs of the people whom they have sworn to serve and protect are empty and are wrapped up with all kinds of sufferings and insecurities.

We remember in Cory’s regime: 8 coup de’etat and the destabilization in our country due to indecisive leadership. In the Pnoy regime: Dengvaxia tragedy; Billions of pesos they looted from the Yolanda donations; the Mamasapano massacre; the loss of the West Philippine Sea; the uncontrollable problem of corruption, drugs, criminality, sowing disorder and destabilization in our country. 

Whereas, in the more than 2 year period of PRRD, the country is undergoing “Build, Build, Build” program that is designed to modernize the country’s infrastructure backbone by rolling out 75 flagship projects worth a combined total of $36 billion in investments. 

Let it be said coming from me, President Duterte’s gesture in kissing the Philippine Flag after every speech he makes has always been the representation of his love of our country without fear or favor. President Duterte’s love is like a tree that will give its shade even to the man who is striking it down and it will even leave its sweet smelling scent on the ax.

THE SCREW THREAD KNOT FITTED TO THE BOLT OF CORRUPTION

On almost every other issue we have to be concerned, the Filipinos have different points of view; but on this one where nobody is afraid anymore to go into the extremes even to kill or be killed just to survive, they’re two of a kind.

I mean, with all the ramifications that brought a lot of pain, hardships, and danger to everyone due to corruption, the worst that some enterprising individuals have thought about as their creative license to survive is MURDER FOR A FEE-- the proliferation of hired killers known as ‘Riding in tandem’. Killing somebody is now a lucrative business and the ones engaged into it had even the temerity to advertise themselves as specializing in fast work and affordable prices. This is a hideous feeling like seeing a cobra crawling at sight.

This is how horrendous the situation for YOU and ME appears. These hired killers are going to make our lives a living hell for a fee every single day. That’s the bottom line.

The root cause of all these is the corruption by the public officials caught in the grip of avarice to the extent of ignoring the inner moral compass in favor of amassing more and more wealth that brought most of the Filipinos into penury. The country has now come down where big fish eat small fish, small fish eat mud.

Corruption has now become a tradition and culture in our country that as public officials; it is natural for them to claim the privilege to corrupt without regard to the tears and sufferings to most of the citizens. The Filipinos are now among the scrub at the lowest level to the standard of living in the world. Our dreams in life were somewhere way off in the distance.

I only sympathize with PRRD of his effort and dedication to stop corruption. But not until PRRD discovers the formula where the problem and the solution will find each other like a screw thread knot fitted into a bolt, not an ocean of tears, neither the friendship of China, nor all the guns in the world can transform those public officials from evil into Saint for our country to survive tomorrow.

THE FILIPINOS ARE PROGRAMMED AS NOTHING BUT RUBBER STAMP

My close friend and also my XUHS Batch ’68 classmate Sammy Ortiz was bragging sometime ago about how he was able to train his dog to salute. How did you do it, I asked? He proudly said, “Well, every time I arrived home I commanded it to salute, and if it will not execute the salute, I hit its right temple. That ritual became a routine every time I came home. So that it became automatic for the dog that as soon as I arrive and make my command to salute, the dog already knew it had to cover his right temple with its right foot, and it looks like it was making a salute as commanded.”

Ha, ha, ha, that is how you reacted to these fools, stupid, traitor, and corrupt menace to our society politicians and their kind whom you address by the title Sir. They usually are wearing suit and tie but in reality, they are nothing but Liars, thieves, dope dealers, and Dengvaxia mass murderers who were just lucky to get their degrees in good Universities and able to have a command in the English language. You keep on bowing and bowing and ready to respond to their wishes like a rubber stamp because you are afraid to make them mad if you don’t. This is hideous because, in that way, you are no different of that dog Sammy Ortiz trained to salute.

Having been conditioned to act that way for a long period of time, you fit the programming in your head and you believe you cannot break away. The command in your thoughts was deafening and the response to obey was rooted in your soul and was swallowed by you and the masses with reckless abandon. The adoration never seemed to end from the beginning up to this time even in deep slumber or in your dreams.

Now, I’m saying, those were the days when most of you have allowed yourself to be pulled around like a cow with a nose ring attached that you have no choice but to toe the line. But now, you are more critical in your thinking. You can already see the difference between what is right and what is wrong.

This is already the DUTERTE ERA, the modern world where old worn out ideas no longer work; they are only fit for the garbage bin.

Just remember, you are Eagles not chickens, you are the master, not slaves, and most importantly, you are human beings not a camel, an elephant, or a cow. 

WE ARE EAGLES NOT CHICKENS

What is happening in our country, what is happening to us? The Filipino people are a lame duck because we are not functioning as a sovereign people as the Constitution provides. So, these traitor politicians at the helm had the gumption of keeping the Filipinos at bay as they continue to bastardize everyone. Even our beloved PRRD was not spared with the anecdotal, abysmal, and egregious, with their angling ad hominem attacks as they do it at will.

The traitors have been overwhelmed in subjecting their own countrymen at every opportunity to corrupt, squeezing every drop of blood out from you that it even pales in comparison to every vampire on earth. They have the gumption to do whatever they want because they knew you are impotent against them. You have been used to bow and bow and keep bowing to these traitors and corrupt politicians since time immemorial that you thought you are meant to be that way, an ugly mark you cannot rid yourself off.

While you have always thought in vain that you cannot break away from the shackles of Presidential government, you eventually forgot THAT YOU ARE EAGLES, the sovereign authority from which all government authority emanates from it. Therefore, the Filipinos must wake up now as PRRD is showing us what kind of government the Filipinos deserve. Let’s not lose this chance with PDU30 behind us.

Let’s not be like this story: A man found an eagle's egg and put it in a nest of a hen. The eaglet hatched with the brood of chicks and grew up with them. All his life the eagle did what the chicks did, thinking he was a chicken. He scratched the earth for worms and insects. He clucked and cackled. And he would thrash his wings and fly a few feet into the air.

Years passed and the eagle grew very old. One day he saw a magnificent bird above him in the cloudless sky. It glided in graceful majesty among the powerful wind currents, with scarcely a beat on his strong golden wings. The old eagle looked up in awe. "Who's that?" he asked. "That's the eagle, the king of the birds," said his neighbor. "He belongs to the sky. We belong to the earth - we're chickens." So the eagle lived and died a chicken, for that's what he thought he was.

THE WILLING VICTIM

People were hungry for the truth; they wanted to know what really is going on why only PRRD and most of the Filipinos want a change from presidential into a Federal form of government.

There’s a group of the elite for a long number of years now who tell the president what to do, dictate to Congress what bill to pass, tell the Central Banks on any given day what they’re going to give as the rate for a dollar. Even if the president cannot be dictated like in the case of PRRD who they cannot toy up, still they can control the government as they still have the Senators, the Congressmen, and the media.

The people need to understand the inner workings of the elite. These people think that they have a right to do what they’re doing. They are fully convinced that you and I are dumbed, stupid, don’t understand what they’re doing and most people don’t.

These elites in connivance with both houses of Congress tricked and fooled us by putting the screws on the Filipinos to stick and rot to the presidential government because it is the kind of government they want. The elites were setting us up many many years ago to make a slave out of the Filipinos. Did you know about it? Everything happening today is being done by them with the connivance of the politicians.

This is how we were duped. Yes, We are the Constitutional Republic and We the people tell the government what to do. The government doesn’t tell us what to do. We are supposed to be telling the government what to do. But what words did they use in the Constitution?

Under Article XVII, SECTION 1. Any amendment to, or revision of, this Constitution may be proposed by:

(1)The Congress, upon a vote of three-fourths of all its Members; or (2) A constitutional convention; and (3) through people’s initiative but only to amend the Constitution under SECTION 2.

Pursuant to the above provisions, the change of government from presidential to Federal can only be realized by revision of the Constitution, which can only be done by Congress and by delegates elected to revise the Constitution, but never through amendment, which the elite through the politicians had designed so that the Filipino people will be handcuffed and chained to presidential government and be their slave forever. Did you get it?

Even PRRD cannot insist against the opposition of the Senators and Congressmen. Did you notice that the Draft of the Federal Constitution had been thrown to the sideline by these politicians? If our sovereign right under the Constitution is to mean anything, we cannot permit. Otherwise, we are going to continue as a slave.
